Annapurna Circuit- Jomsom Trek – 18 Days

Annapurna Jomsom trek is a shorter version of Annapurna Circuit trek, which follows the same traditional route till Jomsom and returns to Pokhara by flight. This trek is best selection for those who wish to find themselves on the heights of Thorung pass.

Annapurna Jomsom trek starts from Bensisahar approx 180 Km west of Kathmandu and climbs upwards along the Marshyangdi Riverside crossing passing through many magnificent mountain villages like Tal, Bagarchap, Chame, Manang, Pisang and Thorung Phedi to reach the highest landmark point of the trail Thorung Pass (5416m). From here you will have stunning views of surrounding mountains and spend time, taking some wonderful pictures before we move further down hill to reach Muktinath (the holy site for both Hindu & Buddhist) and then descend to reach Jomsom where we end our wonderful trip here and catch a mountain flight to Pokhara with great memories.

We use local Mountain lodges called “Tea House” managed by local people in our trip. This region has boasts the best mountain lodges in Nepal. Our experienced guide will lead you and porters will carry your belongings along the trip.

Day 01 – Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrival in Kathmandu received & transfer to hotel. Rest of the day enjoy looking around the nearby area on own, O/N at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 02 – Sightseeing & Trek preparation in Kathmandu 

  • Cultural excursion in Kathmandu. Meeting with Trekking guide & last minute preparation before heading for trekking, O/N at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03

  • Early departure from Kathmandu & drive almost 7 hours to Besishahar (760m) following rivers, villages, downhill valley & wonderful mountain views, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 04

  • Trekking commence from today as we walk to Bahundanda (1310m) 6 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 05 -Trekking to Chamje (1430m)

  • 5 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 06 -Trekking to Bagarchhap (2160m)

    • 5 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 07 -Trekking to Chame (2710m)

  • 6 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 08 -Trekking to Pisang (3300m)

  • 5 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 09 -Trekking to Manang (3500m)

  • 6.5 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 10 – Acclamatization day in Manang

  • Explore the nearby area, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 11 -Trekking to Yak Kharka (4110m)

  • 4 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 12 – Trekking to Thorong Phedi (4600m)

Day 13

  • Most important day of this trip as we reach the highest point Thorong La Pass (5416m), enjoy the great views & take a long breath as you make it. Later trek down to Muktinath (3800m) 8 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 14 – Trek down to Jomsom (2800m)

  • Visit Kagbeni village on the way. 4 hours, O/N at Local lodge (B,L,D)

Day 15 – Flight to Pokhara

  • Take an early morning exhilarating flight to Pokhara over the Himalaya. Transfer to Hotel at Pokhara, rest of the leisure or explore nearby area or Boating on Fewa Lake, O/N at hotel in Pokhara (B)

Day 16

  • After B/F at hotel, drive back to Kathmandu on Tourist SIC Coach. Leisure or looking around local market for last minute shopping or personal activities on own, O/N hotel in Kathmandu (B)
    (Note: Can take flight to return Kathmandu instead of drive | Cost extra !)

Day 17 – Leisure in Kathmandu

  • Shopping or personal activities. Also considered as spare day incase of delay to arrive Kathmandu, O/N at hotel in Kathmandu (B)

Day 18

  • After Breakfast, transfer to Airport on time & fly home with wonderful memories… (B)
